The Bury functionality is only available on the Ethereum chain.
What is Bury (Staking)?
Burying tokens on ShibaSwap is a secure way to earn passive income while supporting the Shiba Inu ecosystem. When you bury your tokens:- Lock Your Tokens: Your tokens are locked in smart contracts
- Earn Rewards: Receive rewards in BONE and additional tokens
- Maintain Control: Non-custodial staking - you always control your assets
- Governance Rights: Participate in ecosystem governance decisions
You cannot access your buried tokens until you unbury them. Make sure you understand the staking period and rewards before proceeding.
Tokens Available for Staking (Burying)
The Shiba Inu ecosystem has several tokens that can be staked on ShibaSwap:SHIB
The primary token of the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Users receive xSHIB token after staking SHIB.
LEASH
A deflationary token with a lower supply, often used for staking to earn rewards. Users receive xLEASH token after staking LEASH.
BONE
A token used for governance in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, including voting on proposals. Users receive tBONE token after staking BONE.
Benefits of Burying (Staking)
Passive Income
Passive Income
By staking, you earn rewards without needing to actively trade. This provides a steady stream of passive income in the form of more tokens.
Governance Participation
Governance Participation
Staking gives you governance power in the Shiba Inu ecosystem, allowing you to vote on proposals and influence the direction of the project.
Support the Ecosystem
Support the Ecosystem
Staking helps support the liquidity of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, making it more robust and decentralized.
Low Risk
Low Risk
We make sure that you get equal or more tokens than the staked amount. So there is no risk of losing the tokens while burying.
No Lock Period
No Lock Period
In ShibaSwap staking there is no restriction on unstaking the tokens. Users can unstake whenever they want.
Bury Rewards Structure
Bury SHIB Rewards
When users bury SHIB they get xSHIB in return. As per the initial woofpaper of ShibaSwap, SHIB stakers get three types of rewards:ETH Swap Fees
0.1% of all ETH swap transaction fees converted into BONE and distributed in the Woof section. 33% available to claim, 67% locked for 6 months.
Non-Top Coin Fees
0.05% swap fees of all non-top coins converted into SHIB and sent to burySHIB contract, increasing SHIB supply. Users get more SHIB on unstaking.
BONE Per Block
3% of BONE per block during the bone minting period. 33% available to claim, 67% locked for 6 months.
Note: BONE minting has been stopped since September 26th, 2023.
Bury LEASH Rewards
When users bury LEASH they get xLEASH in return. The rewards for LEASH stakers are distributed as follows:Non-Top Coin Fees
0.05% swap fees of all non-top coins converted into LEASH and sent to the bury LEASH contract, increasing LEASH supply. Users get more LEASH on unstaking.
BONE Per Block
1% of BONE per block during the bone minting period. 33% available to claim, 67% locked for 6 months.
Note: BONE minting has been stopped since September 26th, 2023.
Bury BONE Rewards
When users bury BONE, they get tBONE in return. The rewards for BONE stakers are distributed as follows:Non-Top Coin Fees
0.05% swap fees of all non-top coins converted into BONE and sent to the buryBONE contract, increasing BONE supply. Users get more BONE on unstaking.
BONE Per Block
1% of BONE per block during the bone minting period. 33% available to claim, 67% locked for 6 months.
Note: BONE minting has been stopped since September 26th, 2023.
