Lap Dogs Access​

Is Lap Dogs free to play?

Yes, Lap Dogs is completely free to download and play.

What are the system requirements?

You can check the minimum and recommended system requirements on the Download section.

I don’t have Windows. How do I access Lap Dogs?

We are working on having Lap Dogs accessible on other platforms.

I don’t own a Shiboshi or Sheboshi NFT. Can I play Lap Dogs?

Yes, you can download and play Lap Dogs even without owning an NFT.

What happens if Lap Dogs is updated while I am playing?

You can still play, however latest updates on Lap Dogs will not reflect on your installed version. Please update Lap Dogs via Shib Portal for seamless gameplay.

Gameplay​

What are the different game modes?

There is only one game mode for Early Access. You are matched with 17 other players as soon as you hit Play in the main menu. A racetrack is selected randomly per match and a match is concluded once all players reach the finish line.

What if I don’t find other players?

If 18 slots cannot be filled during matchmaking phase, you and other players will race with AI/bots.

Can I invite other players to a match?

Not at the moment, we are working on a party system.

What are Shib classes, and how do they affect gameplay?

There are 4 Shib classes in Early Access:

  • Good Boi
  • Chonky Boi
  • Cool Boi
  • Zoomy Boi

How do pickups and abilities work?

Pickups and abilities are designed to help you gain advantage over your opponents throughout the race.

Abilities are activated by pressing Q and E on your keyboard. Learn more about abilities here.

Pickups are gained by passing by it on the racetrack, and can be activated by pressing F on your keyboard. Learn more about pickups in the Gameplay section.

Can I customize my character?

You cannot choose the traits of your Shiboshi or Sheboshi, but you can hit Random during matchmaking to see the many trait combinations. Have fun!

Can I choose the track?

Racetracks are randomly assigned per match.

Will there be more tracks in the future?

As the Metaverse evolves, the world of Lap Dogs will also evolve. We’ll add more tracks in the future for sure.

Rewards and Economy​

Are there rewards for winning races?

Lap Dogs Early Access is purely for enjoying races at the moment. Rewards for scores, progression, and achievements will follow in a future version.

What’s next for Lap Dogs?

You can look forward to a more action-packed and more competitive gameplay with tournaments, new racetracks, new Shib classes, and of course integration of your Shiboshi and Sheboshi NFTs into the game.
